The Advice Sisters Blog Moves on August 3rd to the NEW advicesisters.net

I'm am excited to announce the official launch of the newly-revised, Advice Sisters web site www.advicesisters.net and my new, personal website: www.alisonblackman.info. Although there are still a few kinks to work out, both sites are up and functioning, and I didn’t want to wait any longer to let you know about them. I hope you will take a moment to look at both, offer some feedback and suggestions,  and let me know if something isn't working.

WHAT'S NEW? The new Advice Sisters website combines www.advicesisters.net with  advicesisters.com and this Advice Sisters Daily Blog (*still adding new content until August 3 http://advicesistersblog.blogspot.com/ ).

On www.advicesisters.net there will be daily content as you see here, plus more features.  A slider at the top of advicesisters.net offers the three latest items.  As new items arrive, these will migrate downwards to a "What's new" section and will be eventually, actively archived in one of 7 channels: Lifestyle;  Beauty;  Relationships;  Travel; Food & Culture; My Favorite Things; Double Take Q&A and  Fashion. 

www.Alisonblackman.info is still being tweaked, but it is my personal portfolio for photography and writing services. Hit the "refresh" button and more photos show up in the gallery! Soon, there will be writing samples as well.

MAILING LIST: I am also updating my general mailing list. Very occasionally, I send an email and only if it's really important.  But if you're not on it, you might miss something sent exclusively to that list. On the nearly two decades that I've been writing online, a lot has changed. Once there were only web sites. Now, we rely more than ever on smart phones, blogs, iPads, and social networking sites. These let us connect to one another quickly, more efficiently, and more often. But these same innovations, require new, easier to read, formats. formats. Blogger has become less and less reliable and since Blogger decided to make it more difficult for web site owners to link a Blogger Blog to their own domain, I've decided it isn't worth the trouble to maintain a blog here anymore.  And, besides, I hope you will love the new, combined website format!!!! 

I look forward to continuing to offer daily, quality content that helps to make life easier, more successful, more beautiful, and more fun on the newly revised www.advicesisters.net  And, I look forward to connecting with more people on social media.
